A Woman Used “CSI” to Solve a Case After the Cops Botched It

Who says TV makes us dumber?  Apparently it turns some people into crime-fighting GENIUSES.  A woman named Carmen Moreno is a janitor at a park in Seville, Spain.  And she was cleaning up last week when she saw a big pile of bloody tissues.

She knew they belonged to a 28-year-old woman who’d just DIED in the park.  But the cops thought she died of an overdose, so they just left the tissues behind.  But Carmen thought it was strange they were so bloody, especially if it was just an overdose.  And she thought they might be EVIDENCE.

Well, she’s a big fan of “CSI”, so she followed the techniques she’d learned by watching to carefully collect the tissues without contaminating them.

And when the autopsy proved the woman had been assaulted, Carmen took the evidence to the police, which REALLY bailed them out, since they’d botched the case by leaving the tissues behind.

They were able to pull DNA samples off the tissues, and now they’ve arrested a suspect.
