‘Bad Boys For Life’ On Pace To Win The Weekend Box Office With $68 Million Opening

According to early projections, Bad Boys For Life will take the top spot at the weekend box office and is performing better than earlier projections thanks to its $23.5 million opening day at the North American box office. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s latest entry in the action-comedy series on a pace for a $66-68 million opening.

Bad Boys For Life‘s very strong Martin Luther King Jr. weekend showing will make it the second highest grossing film ever over this particular holiday weekend, right behind American Sniper ($107.2 million in 2014.)

Robert Downey Jr.’s Dolittle looks to be a disappointment, bringing in just $6.3 million in domestic receipts on Friday, which puts it on track for $31 million.
