Five Random Facts for Tuesday

Here are some random facts for you.

 

1.  There are six seasons in the Hindu calendar:  summer, monsoon, autumn, late autumn or pre-winter, winter, and spring.

 

2.  The Sixth Commandment literally translates from Hebrew as “Thou shalt not murder,” not “Thou shalt not kill”, because it took into account that people might face situations like war or self-defense when killing was necessary.

 

3.  The U.S. Constitution is 4,400 words, which makes it the SHORTEST Constitution of any major country in the world.

 

4.  The American film industry only produces the third most movies in the world.  India’s film industry produces the most, and Nigeria’s film industry is second.

 

5.  The first script for “E.T.” was a horror movie.  Steven Spielberg decided he liked it better as a family movie, and that horror script was rewritten to become “Poltergeist”.
