Cheap Trick is coming back to Las Vegas for a residency at The Strat Theater, running Feb. 25-26, and March 4-5.  Brad Goldberg, senior vice president of marketing and entertainment for hotel owner Golden Entertainment Inc. said:  “We aren’t just bringing rock ‘n’ roll to the Las Vegas Strip, we’re throwing a party. We’re thrilled to add Cheap Trick to our lineup of legendary rock residencies at The Strat for what will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for their fans.”

A recent teaser video from game maker Stern Pinball revealed that a Rush pinball machine is on the way.  In the teaser, Rush titles including “Bastille Day,” “Fly by Night,” “Limelight” and “Working Man” appear onscreen, indicating the songs that will likely be used in the game.  Stern Pinball is related to the 1970s and ’80s electronic game outfit Stern Electronics and has previously issued pinball machines based on bands such as AC/DC, Iron Maiden, KISS, Led Zeppelin and Metallica, as well as games for movies, TV and more.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the classic Aerosmith lineup — Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer — a new book, Aerosmith On Tour: 1973-1985, has been released, which chronicles the band’s career on the road for the first time. Written by Julian Gill, Aerosmith On Tour: 1973-1985 unveils its tale via local reviews, eyewitness reports, press accounts and interviews with key insiders.

Carole King and James Taylor will star in an upcoming documentary film that chronicles their decades-long friendship and musical collaboration.Carole King & James Taylor: Just Call Out My Name will premiere on Jan. 2 on CNN and will be livestreamed on CNNgo. The movie will then be available on demand from Jan. 3 through Jan. 9 on various cable and satellite providers, CNNgo and   mobile apps.

Ringo Starr will release a new hardcover coffee table book, titled “Lifted – Fab Images and Memories in My Life With the Beatles From Across the Universe,” on February 14.  The book’s proceeds will benefit the Lotus Foundation charity, and will be available exclusively online at Julien’s Auctions.
