Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson and Chicago have announced a co-headlining U.S. tour for summer 2022. Wilson will be accompanied on stage by fellow Beach Boys members Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin.
Toto has announced they will return to the road next year. The band will begin the Dogs Of Oz World Tour in Las Vegas, NV on February 25; additional appearances will be announced in the coming weeks.
Midnight Oil have announced they will hit the road in support of their new album, Resist, in what will be their farewell tour. Resist, the band’s 15th LP, deals with ecological issues and will be released early next year, with tour dates across Australia and New Zealand set to take place between Jan. 23 and May 13. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr shared tributes online to George Harrison on the 20th anniversary of their late Beatles bandmate’s death. Harrison died on Nov. 29, 2001 at age 58, following a battle with cancer. The anniversary of Harrison’s death arrives on the heels of The Beatles: Get Back documentary, which premiered on Disney+ last week. The documentary focuses on footage shot during the making of the group’s final album, Let It Be.
Metallica have shared video footage of a pair of songs from their November 12 appearance at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, FL. The first of two headlining sets at the Daytona International Speedway shows the band performing their 1988 classic, “One,” from …And Justice For All, and “Fight Fire With Fire,” the opening track from 1984’s Ride The Lightning.
