Five Random Facts For Friday

Here are some random facts for you.

 

1.  A guy named David Holmes was Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double for the “Harry Potter” movies.  But he suffered a serious spine injury during some stunt tests for the seventh one, and he’s still in a wheelchair today.

 

2.  No president or first lady has ever lived to be 100.  Gerald Ford lived the longest of any president, at 93 years and 165 days, but George H.W. Bush would pass him in November of next year.  Bess Truman made it to 97.

 

3.  A woman in Detroit named Evelyn Overton found a recipe for cheesecake in the newspaper in the 1940s.  She started selling the cheesecakes at a bakery in Los Angeles, which her son turned into the first location of the Cheesecake Factory.

 

4.  China has the most countries touching its border, with 14.  Russia is second, with 13.  And yes, they touch each other.

 

5.  Fifteen of the 25 biggest hotels in the world are on the Las Vegas Strip.
