The Five Most Popular Dogs in the U.S.

The American Kennel Club just released its list of the most popular dogs in the country.  And we’re BLOWN AWAY by how boring the results are.

For the 25th year in a row, the most popular breed is Labrador retriever.  The rest of the top five are also dogs that are rarely ever out of the top five:  German shepherds, golden retrievers, bulldogs and beagles.

They rank 184 breeds overall, and even though the top of the list is generic, things DO get kind of obscure at the bottom.

The five least popular breeds are:  English foxhounds, harriers, Norwegian lundehunds, American foxhounds, and otterhounds.
