Five Random Facts For Wednesday

Here are some random facts for you. 

 

1.  Ron Jeremy was an extra in “Ghostbusters”.  He’s in the scene at the end where a crowd of people on the street watch the Ghostbusters head into the building.  And no, he doesn’t have sex with anyone. 

 

2.  Marvin Gaye trained to play pro football in 1970 and tried to get a tryout with the Detroit Lions.  But since he had ZERO football experience, the coach didn’t want him to get hurt and turned him down.  

 

3.  The original gay pride flag had eight colors in the rainbow:  red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, violet, and hot pink.  Eventually hot pink and turquoise were dropped because it made them too expensive to produce.

 

4.  Graham Nash wrote “Just a Song Before I Go” when his pot dealer in Hawaii was taking him to the airport, and said, “I bet you can’t write a song before you go.”  It took Nash about 15 minutes to finish it. 

 

5.  Chinese food takeout containers were originally invented in the 1890s to hold oysters.
