“The Cat in the Hat” Is the Most Popular Kids Book

It’s entirely possible the last time I read a book from start to finish was when I was eight.  So this is pretty much the only literary survey I feel qualified to talk about.  Harris Interactive asked people to name their favorite book from their childhood.  Here are the top 10:

1.  “The Cat in the Hat” by Dr. Seuss.

2.  “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss.

3.  “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak.

4.  “Nancy Drew” mysteries.

5.  The Bible, or stories from the Bible.

6.  “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White.

7.  “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown.

8.  “Curious George” by Hans Augusto Rey and Margret Rey.

9.  “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott.

10.  “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.
