1.  Coins from 1931 to 1933 are extremely rare, because in the Great Depression, no one needed them, so the U.S. Mint stopped producing almost all of them. 

 

2.  You could fit all 10 of the smallest countries in the world into Houston, Texas.  Their total size is 576 square miles, Houston is 627 square miles.  The 10 countries include Vatican City, Monaco, Liechtenstein, and Grenada.

 

3.  Sweden is the only country that’s ever had a February 30th.  It happened in 1712, when they were transitioning from the old Julian calendar system to the modern Gregorian calendar.

 

4.  The theme song from “The Jetsons” made it to number nine on the Billboard charts in 1986.

 

5.  The person who invented dunking your donut in coffee was a silent film star named Mae Murray.  She dropped her donut in coffee in the 1920s, liked the taste, and started spreading the word.
