1.  Dr. Seuss’s license plate was “GRINCH.”

 

2.  Only three new banks have opened in the U.S. since 2010.  Before the financial crisis, more than 100 were opening every year.  (The three are Start Community Bank in Connecticut, Bank of Bird in Hand in Pennsylvania, and Lakeside Bank in Louisiana.)

 

3.  The Quad Cities is made up of five cities, not four like the name suggests:  Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline, Illinois. 

 

4.  The only president who was a licensed bartender was Abraham Lincoln.  Before he became a lawyer, he co-owned a bar in Illinois.

 

5.  The average potato makes 36 chips.
