One in Six People Think Pets Enjoy Wearing Halloween Costumes

A new poll found one in six Americans are delusional, at least when it comes to what our pets think of Halloween.

16%, or around one in six people, think pets actually ENJOY dressing up for Halloween.    A full 40% think they either like it, or at least don’t mind.

The poll didn’t distinguish between cats and dogs.  But obviously dogs are a tad more receptive.  (Your cat just can’t seem to grasp how cute it looks as a bumble bee.)

16% think pets like or LOVE dressing up, 24% think they’re more ‘meh’ about it, 45% said they definitely DON’T like it, and 15% said “not sure.”

Around a third of Americans have dressed up a pet before, or plan to this year.  And social media shoulders a lot of the blame.

Even with more Halloweens under their belt, just 18% of seniors have dressed up a pet, compared to 35% of Gen Z’ers.

(According to Google Frightgeist, the top-trending dog costumes this year are Labubu and Derpy the Tiger from “KPop Demon Hunters”.)
