(Photo credit: Reuters)Foo Fighters were the latest guests on Amazon Music Live on Thursday, October 30th, performing a handful of songs from across their catalog.
For their performance, the Foos opted to play their show on the floor — not on a stage — and in the round, creating a more communal experience. According to Grohl, who mentioned before playing “The Pretender,” the in-the-round style was intended to mirror the band’s rehearsal setup — though he also joked that it “kind of looks like a Lenny Kravitz video.” They also chose to have their performance broadcast in black-and-white as opposed to color.
As usual, the band executed their high-energy, high-octane style, opening with regular setlist leader “All My Life.” They continued with “Times Like These,” “My Hero,” “Learn to Fly,” “This Is a Call,” “No Son of Mine,” and more. Notably absent from the setlist was the band’s brand new song “Asking for a Friend,” which arrived this month alongside a massive 2026 tour announcement and a promise for new music to come.
They may have omitted “Asking for a Friend,” but they did bust out “Nothing at All” from their most recent album, 2023’s But Here We Are. The band rounded out their performance with renditions of “Best of You,” “Monkey Wrench,” and usual closer “Everlong.” Amazon Prime Video or Twitch subscribers can watch the full performance here; in the meantime, check out the band’s performance of opening track “All My Life” below.
Foo Fighters are back in the saddle now, having kicked off their 2025 tour with a series of intimate club gigs, a live album, and a tour of Asia. They’ll head to Mexico City next month to headline Corona Capital, and in 2026, they’ll embark on the “Take Cover” tour with Queens of the Stone Age.
