A lot of people have high cleanliness standards for their Uber ride even though their OWN car is a total disaster.
In a new poll, 34% of people who own a car say they’d be “embarrassed” for someone they know to look inside their vehicle right now.
33% say they have random clothing in their car, 23% say there’s trash and food wrappers, 36% admit there are bottles and cans littered around, and and 21% say there is actual food on the floor of their vehicle right now.
They didn’t ask, but most of those people must have young kids, right?!
Overall, HALF of car owners feel that the current state of their car’s interior is a “fair reflection of their personality,” for better or worse.
46% say their car is very or somewhat clean and organized, 16% admit it’s a total mess, and 19% say it’s constantly shifting between messy and clean.
Gen Z’ers are the most likely to say their vehicle is clean, and Boomers have the messiest cars.
People were asked about the things currently in their car, and here are the STRANGEST answers . . .
1. A Sammy Sosa bobblehead.
2. Uncashed lotto tickets.
3. Old Halloween decorations.
4. My husband’s fake leg.
5. A dog stroller.
6. Cassette tapes. (But do they still have a cassette player???)
7. False teeth.
8. My jams and jellies.
9. Fake money. (We’re assuming it’s not a real counterfeiting operation.)
10. A camping shower.
