You know how you can spend a SILLY amount of time walking circles around your bed, trying to put the fitted sheet on by yourself? Of course you do, we all have, but we never talk about it. (???)
There’s another relatable list of random things that everyone has experienced, but never talks about. (For obvious reasons.) Here are the highlights:
1. When you have bags of clothes you’re going to donate, eventually. But first, you drive around with them in your car for a few months.
2. When it takes you two days to get 25% through a book, another three MONTHS to get to the halfway point, and then you finish the rest in one night.
3. When you get a notification that something was delivered, and you can’t think straight until you get home and bring it inside.
4. When you get a thrill out of the slow car in front of you FINALLY turning off, so you can show everyone that it wasn’t you holding up the line.
5. When you feel that odd kinship with a friend, when you text them at 2:00 A.M., and they immediately respond.
6. When you cut your nails, and you immediately have to deal with one of those stubborn new-condiment seals, or a tight aluminum can tab.
7. When you’re taking a shower, and you start hearing chaos outside, like people are moving furniture out the front door or something.
8. When you fart, and magically your stomach ache disappears.
9. When it’s late, and you’re trying not to make too much noise with one of those excessively loud, clear plastic takeout clamshell containers.
10. When you experience that one, weird swallow, that you just KNOW confirms you’re getting the flu tomorrow.
