Are These the “Best Fads” of the ’90s?

If you’re a Gen X’er or elder Millennial, you don’t have trouble remembering the hottest trends of the 1990s, partially because, if you have teenagers, some of that stuff is ALL THE RAGE again.  (I don’t know if the phrase “all the rage” is back en vogue.)  (???)

A website ranked 11 of the “best fads” of the ’90s, and it looks like they put “The Macarena” at #1, for better or worse.

Here’s the rest:

Pogs, Grunge music and style, the Super Soaker, JNCO jeans,  Nintendo Game Boy, Starter jackets, Slap bracelets, “Third-wave ska,” groups like Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, No Doubt, and Less Than Jake, Beanie Babies, and Rollerblades.

(What would YOU add to the list?  I remember the ’90s being the birth of gangsta rap and hip-hop fashion.  Teen TV also proved to be a big draw, and not just “Saved By the Bell”, the soapy stuff like “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “My So-Called Life”, and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.)
