Guns N’ Roses have surprisingly released a comedic video of the numerous times frontman Axl Rose has fallen over onstage.
The one-minute clip of Axl taking a spill — 14 times in total — is rare bit of self-deprecation from the notoriously media shy and self-serious singer. The video, which is soundtracked by “Welcome to the Jungle,” was posted to Guns N’ Roses’ Instagram on Monday (May 19th).
Classic Rock magazine calculated that GN’R have played approximately 1,092 shows over the course of their career, which means that Axl has toppled over during at least 1.28% of the band’s concerts — and the clip just documents the times he’s fallen down on camera, so that percentage is likely much higher.
The video is certainly a humorous way to promote the band’s ongoing world tour, though we hope the 63-year-old singer is bit more careful with his stage moves, or he might end up singing from Dave Grohl’s throne again.
As previously reported, GN’R kicked off the trek at Songdo Moonlight Park in Incheon, South Korea, earlier this month. The tour — their first with new drummer Isaac Carpenter — runs through an appearance at the Wacken Festival in Germany on July 31st.
