How fun would it be to quiz your boss on this and then grade their answers?
Do you think your boss actually understands what you do in a typical day? Almost half of people say no.
46% of people in a new poll said their boss or manager “rarely” or only “somewhat” understands their contributions at work.
44% of employees say they’ve been overlooked for raises, promotions, or special projects because management doesn’t really get their skillsets. That jumps to 62% for Gen Z’ers.
48% think their contributions are consistently undervalued by leadership.
And 43% say they get feedback from their boss that doesn’t really line up with the work they’ve done.
