Here are some random facts for you.

 

1.  The fashion designer Kate Spade is David Spade’s sister-in-law.

 

2.  The first assassination attempt on a president happed in 1835, when a guy named Richard Lawrence tried to shoot Andrew Jackson.  But his gun jammed, and Jackson beat him up with his cane.

 

3.  Crayola has crayons called Carnation Pink, Pig Pink, Pink Sherbet, Pink Flamingo, and Tickle Me Pink, but not one that’s just regular old “Pink.”

 

4.  Out of the 18,500 or so Major League Baseball players since 1851, only 11 were from Alaska.

 

5.  Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer was created in 1939 by the Montgomery Ward department store, as a way to save money.  They would buy coloring books to pass out at Christmas, and they figured it would be cheaper to print their own books with an original character than to keep buying them.
