If you’ve been to IKEA, you may have tried their legendary Swedish meatballs. And in the future, you might be able order their balls along with an EXTRA LONG WIENER. (???)
IKEA has quietly debuted a hot dog overseas, in the United Arab Emirates, that’s nearly TWO FEET LONG. And it’s pretty thick too.
It’s called the “half-meter hot dog,” and it’s 20-inches long. They’re selling it for about $5.17 in U.S. dollars. It comes with a bun, but it’s about half the size, so the hot dog sticks out of both sides, by a lot.
You can add cheese, pickles, fried onions, and jalapenos. But that costs extra.
It looks ridiculous enough that it’s trending online, especially because you’d basically need to DIP the ends in a condiment, because pouring it on top risks becoming SUPER messy.
Unfortunately, they haven’t said if this hot dog is coming to locations in the U.S.
(Here’s someone ordering it. And another post.)
