The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a 35th anniversary vinyl reissue of their debut album Gish that will arrive in multiple variants on May 29th.

A special pink and purple splatter color edition pressed on 180-gram vinyl will be available at frontman Billy Corgan’s Madame ZuZu’s tea shop in Highland Park, Illinois, as well as a number of independent record stores, while a standard 180-gram black vinyl edition is available for pre-order at this location. Both are housed in the original Gish packaging from 1991.

Gish, which was produced by Butch Vig at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, was released on May 28th, 1991. It introduced the Pumpkins’ unique blend of shoegaze, metal, psychedelia, and hard rock with standout tracks like “I Am One,” “Siva,” and “Rhinoceros.”

Meanwhile, Corgan just celebrated the one-year anniversary of his podcast, The Magnificent Others, on which he’s interviewed the likes of Gene Simmons, Yungblud, Sharon Osbourne, and more. The latest episode features Nancy Wilson of Heart.
