Amazon Show ‘Transparent’ To End With Fifth And Final Season

Transparent is moving forward without star Jeffrey Tambor, but this will be it’s last season.  Amazon’s original series will conclude with the upcoming fifth and final season, according to creator Jill Soloway. A few months after sexual assault allegations against Tambor and his subsequent dismissal from the series, Soloway admitted to finally feeling “a tiny bit like we are going to be okay.”  Transparent premiered in 2014 and won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical in 2015, while Tambor won a Golden Globe and two Emmys for his portrayal of transgender matriarch Maura Pfefferman. The actor is no longer be involved with the show after sexual harassment accusations made by a Transparent guest star and former assistant led to his firing in February.

Avengers: Infinity War Dominates Box Office Again With $112.5M In It’s Second Weekend

After delivering the biggest box office opening in history last week, Disney and Marvel’s superhero blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War is on track to earn an estimated $112.5 million from 4,474 theaters in the U.S. and Canada this weekend, crushing its competitors while scoring the second-best second weekend ever. Only Star Wars: The Force Awakens has grossed more, and Infinity War will bump Black Panther down to third on the list. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Infinity War marks the third Avengers film and the 19th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Infinity War has received generally positive reviews from critics, and moviegoers gave it an A CinemaScore. An untitled sequel is already on the calendar for May 3, 2019.

First Official Pictures Of Prince Louis With Sister Princess Charlotte Are Released

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released two new photos of their new son, Prince Louis, on Sunday. The first official photos were taken by Princess Kate at the home of her and Prince William in Kensington Palace. Prince Louis Arthur Charles first official snapshot was taken on April 26, just three days after he was born. The second photo, taken on Princess Charlotte’s third birthday on May 2, shows the older sister planting a gentle kiss on her baby brother’s forehead.  “The Duke and Duchess would like to thank members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte’s third birthday,” Kensington Palace tweeted on Sunday.  In the photo, Princess Charlotte is pictured in a blue and white cardigan worn by Prince George in a family portrait for the Queen’s 90th birthday in April 2016, and Prince Louis’ white outfit was also previously worn by his sister in a portrait taken after she was born. Former ‘Law & Order’ Actress Diane Neal To Run For Congress In New York

Former Law & Order actress Diane Neal is seeking a new role– as representative of a congressional district in upstate New York. Neal, 42, appeared on the original L&O, once the longest-running crime drama on American primetime. From 2001-2012, she played Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak on Law & Order: SVU, now in its 19th season. More recently, in 2015, Neal appeared on NCIS: New Orleans, The Following and Blue Bloods. Neal launched her campaign for the 19th Congressional District, where she has lived for four years. She announced her independent candidacy in February. Seven candidates are vying for the Democratic nomination, but Neal is running as an independent.

“Transformers 5” Star Isabela Moner To Play ‘Dora The Explorer’ In Live-Action Movie

Isabela Moner will take on the title role in the live-action feature film “Dora the Explorer,” Paramount Players announced earlier this week. The film will be based on the animated series of the same name. It will follow a teenage version of Dora, as she goes on an adventure with her best friend, a monkey named Boots, and her cousin Diego. Moner recently starred in “Transformers: The Last Knight” with Mark Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins. She also previously voiced the character Kate in the 2014 animated spinoff “Dora and Friends: Into the City!” and was the lead in Nickelodeon comedy series “100 Things to Do Before High School.” The original animdated “Dora the Explorer” series premiered on Nickelodeon in 2000, featuring Dora as a 7-year-old Latina who travels the world. The live-action film will be shot in Queensland, Australia, and is expected to be released in theaters on Aug. 2, 2019.
