Rumors have been flying that AC/DC were working on new music, and now comes further proof that the band are preparing a new album. Longtime engineer Mike Fraser has confirmed the band was “doing something” in the studio. Asked about the rumors of a new AC/DC album in a recent interview, Fraser replied, “Well, yeah, I could say that we’ve been in the studio doing something. What’s come of that I can’t discuss yet.” Asked if Johnson was singing, he said, “I think so,” with a laugh.

Organizers have announced the initial dates of the Ronnie James Dio hologram tour of North American, taking place this spring and summer.

ZZ Top have announced dates for an extensive 50th Anniversary US Tour. The band will launch a late summer/early fall run in Ridgefield, WA on August 16, joined by Cheap Trick for most of the run while Lynyrd Skynyrd will appear on a pair of early dates.

Mick Jagger is thanking fans for their support after he underwent a heart valve replacement procedure last Thursday. News about the operation came to light after the Rolling Stones were forced to postpone the start of their North American No Filter tour due to Jagger needing medical treatment. Jagger avoided major surgery by having a “minimally invasive procedure” last week in New York.

Last week it was announced that Guns ’N’ Roses would be one of the headliners of 2019’s Louder Than Life music festival. Yesterday, the event— which will take place Sept. 27-29 at the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center — unveiled the rest of the festival’s lineup.
