A Father and Son Are Busted For Stealing Lottery Tickets

I don’t think this counts as good father-son bonding time.  54-year-old Robert Carbonell of Port Orange, Florida and his 28-year-old son Robert Carbonell Jr. went to a convenience store last week and stole some lottery tickets.  Robert Sr. distracted the clerk while Robert Jr. jumped over the counter and stole $300 in scratchers.

And guess what?  One of their tickets was a $90 winner.   But Robert Sr. went back to the SAME convenience store to cash it in, the manager recognized him from the surveillance tape of the robbery, and called the cops.

So both of the Carbonells were arrested for felony retail theft.

(Here are their mugshots.)
