A News Chopper Reporter Launched into a Rant About His Failed Marriage During a YouTube Livestream

If you’re single and in the market for a middle-aged guy who’s open about his feelings, here’s one.

Organizers of this weekend’s “No Kings” protests said millions of people hit the streets in dozens of cities.  But some audio from high ABOVE Los Angeles also went viral.

Stu Mundel is a helicopter reporter for Fox 11 in L.A.  And he was flying around covering the protests on Saturday when he launched into a long rant about his FAILED MARRIAGE.

He was on a YouTube livestream when he started talking about a, “bunch of debacles” in his personal life, how he’s legally separated and trying to “find” himself, and how he gets lonely, but has cats.

A bunch of sites said it was a hot mic thing, and he was talking to someone in his ear.  But he was actually responding to questions in the YouTube comments, so he KNEW he was live.

People started asking if he was drunk.  So he said, “I do love the bourbon.  I love the whiskey, love the bourbon, love the gin.”

To be clear, no one actually thinks he was drunk.  He also wasn’t the one flying.  He had a pilot with him.  So he was just having fun with it, and maybe being a little TOO open about his personal life.

(Here’s the marriage clip.  The “bourbon” part happens at 59:53 in the full livestream, followed by the marriage stuff at 1:01:29.)

(Bonus clip:  There was also a point where he saw protesters on the steps of a government building and launched into the song “I’m Just a Bill” from “Schoolhouse Rock”.)
