A Woman Was Rescued After Dancing on a Roof, and Falling Into the Chimney

It’s unclear if this woman was out of her mind, or if she was planning to audition to be a chimney sweep in “Mary Poppins”.

A 30-year-old woman in Los Angeles had to be rescued from a CHIMNEY on Tuesday evening.  Witnesses say she was DANCING on the roof, and waving her arms, when she climbed into the chimney, or fell into it somehow.

She was stuck about three feet deep inside the chimney.  The firefighters were able to hoist her to safety using a rope system.  She was alert and conscious, and was taken to the hospital in “fair condition.”

The authorities haven’t revealed what was going on.  The building was an outbuilding for storage that was used by the local parks and rec department.  The woman wasn’t affiliated with them.  Witnesses say she appeared to be under the influence of something, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

It’s also unclear what she was dancing to, if anything.

(Here’s audio from a rescuer and a witness.)
