Applebee’s brought back their all-you-can-eat wings, riblets, or shrimp deal last month. And they are NOT messing around about the all-YOU-can-eat part . . .
A 28-year-old Chicago woman got arrested Friday night after SHARING her all-you-can-eat order with other people at her table.
Her name is Shawneesha Cobbs. It happened at an Applebee’s in Portage, Indiana, just across the border from Chicago.
An employee saw her do it and told her it wasn’t allowed. She told them she thought “all-you-can-eat” meant everyone in your group, and claimed the menu didn’t specifically say it was “per person.”
Things escalated when the bill came and the manager charged them for multiple all-you-can-eat deals. Each one costs $16.
Police say Shawneesha was loud and disorderly when they arrived, and she ignored requests from them, and a friend, to calm down. She’s facing charges for disorderly conduct.
One of her friends ended up paying the bill in full after cops showed them that the menu’s fine print DID say it was a “per person” deal.
